The Sandpit is a monthly event from Hide and Seek which provides a monthly opportunity to play old games, try out new ideas and meet up with other people who enjoy interesting games. On 30 May, it's coming to the Hayward Gallery.
The Hayward's 40th-anniversary Psycho Buildings exhibition is a wonderful place to play, and this Sandpit will make the best of it, featuring the return of favourites from previous Sandpit events, a sneak preview of the Lost Sport of Olympia, an invitation to Be Part Of My Drawing Machine, and more.
Players are encouraged to submit a ruleset or run their own game at any Sandpit, but #5 comes with the opportunity to submit a game to receive a £1000 commission and run within the Hayward during the festival itself.

The Sandpit
The Sandpit is the public, collaborative face of Hide and Seek. It runs throughout the year as a series of monthly events which give artists, designers and players the chance test new games or playful experiences, explore each month's theme through play, and generally have fun.
