The esteemed philanthropist Rupert Grandison invites you to examine the peculiar events surrounding the search for the treasure of the Gold Bug. This adventure, begun at Mr Grandison's behest, ultimately grew to engulf his own life and the lives of those ingenious souls who joined his quest. Those who discovered the trail within Punchdrunk's Masque Of The Red Death were sucked into what would feel something like an alternate reality were it not the real-life adventures of the Hunters and Mr Grandison! Working alongside Coney and the Hunters themselves, Mr Grandison has curated an exhibition which recounts the experiences of those bitten by the Gold Bug.

The Gold Bug: Dissected is presented by Mr Rupert Grandison with the assistance of the Hunters and in association with Coney, supported by BAC and Punchdrunk.
As a child, Rupert learnt of a great wrong which had dishonoured his family, the theft of treasure, as discovered in Poe's true tale 'The Gold-Bug'. This motivated him to forge a career with gold-mining corporation AngloAmerican; since retirement to pursue the thief obsessively. Mr Grandison is 95 years old. Coney were honoured to assist him.
